“I can be changed by what happens to me.

But I refuse to be reduced by it.”

Maya Angelou

Core Resilience prioritizes providing a non-judgmental space that promotes openness, fosters vulnerability and facilitates growth. Cultural humility/sensitivity, intersectionality and context will be the foundation of this work, because you and your experiences are unique.

Looking for increased self-esteem? Better communication and boundaries? Decreased negative symptoms? Stronger and healthier relationships? A sense of balance and control? Feeling heard, seen, and understood? Core Resilience wants to help you get there.

You and your goals are what matter most.

Areas of Focus

Anxiety

Excessive worry, fear and apprehension can be draining. You may feel as though your mind is ten steps ahead of you with concerns about what will happen, making it hard for you to stay focused and centered in the present. Gaining control over anxiety can help you work through the things happening here and now—and disrupt the cycle that allows it to continue.

Life Transitions

Change is inevitable, but it’s not always easy to navigate. Adjusting to a new way of life can come with a host of feelings—some desirable, others distressing. Whether you are starting a new job, entering into a new relationship, navigating life post-divorce, or relocating to a new area, you deserve support in achieving stability. Together we’ll identify ways to move forward in the right direction.

Depression

Are you having difficulty getting out of a space in which you feel unmotivated, irritable, low, uninterested, and tired? Depression can be a heavy load to bear and even harder to talk about with others. The honest nature of what you’re going through is welcome here. Let’s work together to identify key interventions that can improve your mood.

Work-Life Balance

Do you find yourself struggling to balance a demanding job with a fulfilling personal life? Have you finally arrived in the career you always wanted, but find yourself feeling as though something is still missing? Professional and personal success don’t have to be mutually exclusive. Striking the right balance calls for self-reflection and a plan of action as unique as you are.

Stress Management

With so much going on in your life and in the world, it can be easy to become overwhelmed. How can you take a step back when it feels like the world is demanding you stay where you are? How are you expected to give so much without time to replenish and restore? Let’s figure out your priorities, define your boundaries and create a plan to maintain it all.

Grief & Loss

The weight of loss can be overwhelming and seemingly endless at times. How can you move forward when it feels that your world has come to a complete stand still? What if no one else understands your pain? Therapy can provide the space for honest expressions of grief. Let’s cultivate a step-by-step approach to supporting you where you are, and planning for the journey thereafter.
