About Me
Hello! I’m Courtney Reid, founder of Core Resilience Counseling & Wellness LLC
(she/her/hers)
I’m a licensed master-level social worker with over ten years of experience in helping my clients meet their mental wellness goals. I’ve been fortunate to have practiced in a wide variety of settings, including community mental health, primary care, emergency rooms, outpatient behavioral health, group psychotherapy practice, and higher education. My treatment approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, collaborative, and fosters cultural humility. At the core of this work, I believe in the power of telling our stories and finding safe spaces to express the intimate details of our human experience. I believe healing occurs within this space, and in turn I honor the opportunity to provide a supportive presence.
I created Core Resilience Counseling & Wellness as a means to fully expand upon my dreams of providing treatment in a way that illustrates these beliefs on a daily basis. I’m committed to bringing forth my authenticity, professionalism, respect, and humor—and I hope that you will bring forth all of your unique parts too!
I’m an Ohio native currently residing in Southeast Michigan. I’m passionate about helping others in sustainable ways and making sure I stay consistent in my own internal work so I can show up in the best way for you. I am a lover of R&B/Neo-Soul music and [can] get defensive about the quality of my playlists. I enjoy tennis, traveling, live entertainment, napping, trying to keep all of my plants alive (whew) and spending time with my loved ones.
